The project Prevention of Stigma and Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities in Schools on Both Banks of the Nistru River is implemented with the assistance of the Support to Confidence Building Measures Program, funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by the United Nations Development Program.

The project aims to reduce discriminatory attitudes towards people with disabilities in schools and community. Project activities include social theater performances in ten schools and socializing events between pupils and students from both banks of the Nistru River. Dissemination of public information materials about people with disabilities and how to communicate with and about them is expected during these activities.

Through the activities envisaged, the project aims to empower people in situations of oppression in their locality, to challenge them to take action against discrimination, and also to increase the level of trust between the two banks of the Nistru River.

The project is implemented by Keystone Moldova in partnership with “Interaction” organization (from Tiraspol). The project coverage area extends to the rayons of Causeni, Slobozia, Ribnita and Tiraspol municipality.
