Project goal

support of transformation process of care for people with mental disorders and people with learning difficulties in Moldova.

Project objectives

• Evaluation of three psycho-neurological institutions;
• Consultancy to carry out the analysis of care reform transformation with regards to the local situation;
• Consultation of the Transformation plans of Balti, Brinzeni, Cocieri and Badiceni institutions;
• Training of stakeholders in the process of deinstitutionalization.

Results

1. Evaluation of the residents of 3 institutions (psycho- social evaluation, medical and psychiatric evaluation, evaluation of residents’ families according to case management procedures);
2. Recommendation for community support based on individual needs;
3. Evaluation of human resources from institution (the personnel structure, personnel education and performances, the personnel tasks reported to residents’ needs);
4. Recommendations for human resources development;
5. The Evaluation Reports of 3 residential institutions Balti, Brinzeni and Cocieri) developed;
6. Analysis of care reform transformation with regards to the local situation;
7. Reviewing of the Transformation plans of Balti, Brinzeni, Cocieri and Badiceni institutions;
8. Training of stakeholders in the process of deinstitutionalization.
