The best journalists in the contest We have the same rights. We want equal opportunities! were awarded today. Grand Prix was won by Lilia Zaharia, reporter at Independent Press Association. She also benefited from the sum of gross 650 dollars.

According to categories, the following prizes were awarded:

o I (gross 500 USD worth)

Rodica Vornices, Canal X (Television section)
Tamara Grejdeanu, Radio Europa Libera (Radio section)

o II Prize (gross 350 USD worth)
Svetlana Corobceanu, Jurnal de Chisinau (Print Press section, online and blogging)
Liuba Sevciuc, Publika TV (Television section)
No winners in Radio section)

o III Prize (gross 200 USD worth)
Mariana Galben, Info Prim Neo (Print Press section, online and blogging)
Tatiana Scutaru, Ziarul National (Print Press section, online and blogging)
(No winners in Radio and Television sections)

The winners received diplomas and were congratulated by Ludmila Malcoci, Executive Director of Keystone Moldova, Georgeta Stepanov, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences of USM and Vasile State, Director of Electronic Press Association (ELPA). They said they were deeply impressed by the number and quality of the materials submitted to the contest.

The contest of journalistic materials We have the same rights. We want equal opportunities! took place in the period from September 15, 2013 - January 31, 2014, with the goal to encourage journalists to document, develop and publish/broadcast impact material on the situation of persons with disabilities in Moldova and thus bring public attention to their stories.

This activity is part of the project "Mass-media promotion of social inclusion of people with disabilities", implemented by Keystone Moldova with the support of Health Media Initiative/Open Society Foundations.
